Vibe: Murray Hill’s sports bar by day, lounge by night, The Hill is sure to turn any birthday party into high-octane depravity. Known well as the destination for guys who love sports and the women those guys date, it’s a perfect spot to plan your next New York City birthday.

Spot: With the backdrop of a giant glass mirror against a handcrafted oak bar, this is like the ESPN Zone injected with a large dose of style. A total of 25 HD screens ensures you’ll catch whatever game you’re looking for, and the ladies can be satisfied knowing that a birthday party here doesn’t mean a testosterone-fest; the feel is not overwhelmingly masculine, just comfortably stylish.

Grub: With better versions of the usual sports fare, you can find delicious wings, sliders, and fries to wash down with the abundant amount of beer you’re sure to be drinking.

The Deal: Nothing says birthday party in New York City like competition (everyone knows a party in this city is mainly a way of showing your social prowess). The Hill is a fantastic spot to stay sports-oriented yet well-groomed, competitive yet refined. Although it’s known for guys and their girlfriends, it is a good birthday party spot for girls as well. And for those without a boyfriend or girlfriend, hey, get some liquid courage and try someone else’s, every sport has a goalie.

Sexy Sports Bar

My apartment is literally right above The Hill and I use to go there when it was called DIP, needless to say, I haven't been since they re-opened. My friends and I decided to give it a shot last Saturday night. All in all, great great experience...except that if you get there a little on the early side, you'll have to deal with the drunken frat boys taking up most of the good seating to watch the sports games (most of the guys were cute so we didn't mind). Throughout the night, my girls and I had a blast and we ended up taking over a large booth in the upstairs...it was the perfect amount of room to chill, drink and if we felt like dancing...we danced. I like The Hill - awesome combination of sports bar meets upscale lounge...a great addition to the area :)

I'm from DC and this reminded of me a cool little spot I used to go to a couple blocks from the mall. The Hill is very modern with its wooden floors and stainless steel finishings. My birthday was a lot of fun and I didn't have to walk far to get back to my apartment.
