DJ playing Pop & EDM
This is a typical New York City club, complete with overpriced admission and drinks, bumping music, light shows and shirtless gay men. (Saturday night is their gay night and it’s glorious). There’s also levels to this club, so if you’re into playing hide and seek on different floors, it’s perfect.
If you’re 18 and it’s your first time going to a club, we’d imagine your wide eyes getting wider at the amount of lights, music and body gyrations you’re taking in. The crowd is usually a fun one—always dancing, drinking and screaming, “Woooo!” Unless of course, there’s a concert—nevermind, the crowd is still doing those things.
We’ve said this before and we’ll say it again—this is a club. So…food? Nah. Eat before you get here you hungry hippo. Ok, we’re sorry. You’re not a hippo. They do have snacks there, like ceviche, tuna tartare, tacos, paella—you get it, it’s a Spanish flair. We’re pretty sure they’re serving from the menu from their upstairs bar & restaurant, Cantina. And in which case, eat to your hippo heart’s desire! Just know that you can burn those calories off in gyrations.
If you’re looking to spend a pretty penny on your birthday, or make your friends spend, this you should definitely look into booking Space 48. If it’s for a club night or you’re there to see a show, Stage 48 is the very lit place to be. Take a cab or convince your friends to take the long walk from the train to 11th avenue with you. Spoiler alert: there’s no train on 11th avenue.
