No one’s listening to the music. It’s all about sports on TV.
Imagine your favorite sports bar and lounge getting it on in a night of pure passion and bliss and you’ve got the greatness that is The Royal. There’s more than 40 televisions for your sports viewing pleasure and plenty of comfortable banquettes all around the venue. The name is a bit misleading because instead of it being a place where royalty can kick back for a drink, it’s likely where the royalty’s staff would go after a long day to complain about the boss.
If you have ever said the word, “bro” unironically, then this is the type of place for you. It’s like the after work crowd who loosens their ties, untucks their shirts and throws on their flats/sneakers. There’s also cheap drinks, comfortable seating and yummy bites, so if you need a place to sit back and relax on your birthday, this is it. But it’s not a lounge, so don’t try to get fancy on ‘em.
From chicken wings flavored with rosemary and thyme to buratta salads, this elevated bar food will allow you to forget you’re at a bar. The mac & cheese burger is the dish most people come for and probably what you should get…if you’re not worried about gluten and dairy. We hope you’re not.
There’s many variables that make up a good bar, but at the very least you want to make sure there’s tasty drinks, great food that compliments the drinks and ample seating. The Royal may not actually have the most royal accommodations, but it’s swanky and well worth your birthday celebration, if you’re the low key turn up type.
